DID YOU KNOW?

The consequences of waste for our planet

Every year million tons of waste end up in landfill and the ocean. Not is it only sad to see how much plastic floats in the ocean when you go to the beach. The main problem is that it is harming all animals in the ocean. Most of the waste, especially plastic takes up tp 500 years to decompost. During this time the plastic breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces until theyre are just milimeters small. So called microplastic. Sea animals eat the plastic thinking it is food and eventually choke on plastic pieces in their throat.

In the end it comes back to us humans, eating seafood. It is so important that we start thinking about the consequences of our daily actions and change our habits.
